Hello everyone,

Does anyone have any comments on The Manual of Dermatology in Chinese

Medicine by De Hui Shen and Xui Fen Wu?

I read over the archived comments on the other derm book by Yihou Xu

and am trying to decide which one would be best (or are there others

out there some of you would recommend)?

Thank you,

David Russell, L.Ac., CMT

I really like " Handbook of Traditional Chinese Dermatology " by Liang

and " Dermatology in Traditional " by Xu personally.

I am not very fond of the book by Shen and Wu as I find it lacks some

very important information about dermatology (there is no chapter on

eczema!). That said, I feel like the training I received from one of

my teachers allows me to use the two texts I have effectively.

It wouldn't be the only one book I would buy, but the Practical

Traditional Chinese Dermatology by Li Lin, Peace Books has many of the

disease states like lupus, Sjorgeons along with 200 others. It's not

in depth but when running across the seriously odd problems its a good

reference.

David,

I have the Yihou Xu book which I like. I have not seen the others. I

think the Xu was recommended by Mazin Al-Khafaji who teaches a derm

certification course. I think he's coming out with a book in the next 6

months. I will definitely buy that one.
