Guest guest
Hi Yehuda and others, in Germany oil from Nigella sativa is widely available, and a number of books are widely available. As you said, it has nothing to do with Cumin, it is from a different plant family. An immunology study group in Germany-Berlin, is interested in its immune stimulating properties. Most of the oil in Germany is from Egypt, and in middle eastern bakeries, a small amount of seeds is often found on top of the breads they sell, which gives it a pleasant, unusual taste.the oil is generally recommended as immunestimulating, spasmolytic, reducing cholesterol, antibacterial-eg against E.coli, and can reduce stomach ulcers and possibly tumours Best Regards, Andrea Hehlmann www.hehlis-holistics.co.uk
Guest guest
In the tradition of Shen Nong, I decided to decoct it myself, rather that rely upon others, and here's my report: 1. Rather than giving a sense of diaphoresis (as GuiZhi does), instead I felt an internal, Yang tonifying warmth, more like RouGui. 2. I also can concur with the reports of it supplementing Jing and Xue as I clearly felt a very deep strengthening feeling, yet it did not feel like the sensation I have had when I tried herbs that supplement Qi. 3. That sense of " spirituality " or " well-being " that was reported I perceived more as a slightly intoxicating feeling: warm and slightly high. 4. The sensation of increased peristalsis reported I found to be similar, but more mild, than MuXiang. 5. The seeds themselves, which I chewed on after drinking the decoction, were pleasantly warm and oily, with a slight pepper-like taste. Comments? Yehuda the pharmer wrote: Wait a sec!
