Guest guest
I have gotten emails like this as well, but where is the scam? I wasted 10 minutes on an email but there was not follow up. -darby
Guest guest
Hi Geoff, This is the same email I received and sent out to the list a few weeks ago. They do customize it so that it reads that the person needing acupuncture will be staying temporarily in your area. Guest guest
It was written up previously - I think it was also in acupuncture today. IIRC - you give them your banking info (or address), they send you a phony $5,000 check that bounces back to them after you send it through your banks collection process for international checks. Then they have your banking info when they receive the bounced check back. I think that's about when the party starts. Guest guest
Or, they send you a cashier's or bank check which appears completely legit. 'problem is that it's stolen or forged!
