Guest guest
Hello all! I have been battling with billing software issues. Just wondering if anyone has had success that they would be willing to share in their billing software. I was using my associates medisoft then i tried Office Ally's software and found that they are not acupuncuture friendly. I am billing insurance companies as well as patients. Is anyone satisfied with their software program? As you all know billing is a hassel and I would like to make a painless as possible. Any words of wisdom is welcome. Thanks so much! Guest guest
Hi Jamie, I used to do all my billing by hand and then heard a few months ago about Office Ally. I decided to give them a try and am very happy with them. What about them is not acupuncture friendly? They support the acupuncture codes and everything seems to go smoothly with them. I just wish my checks came faster cause when I was doing them by hand I got paid within 4-6 weeks and now it's closer to 6 weeks when it should be quicker. But it makes my billing life happier and easier so I will stick with them. Thanks, Elie TCM Directory http://www.tcmdirectory.com , " jlshutt " <jlshutt wrote: > > Hello all! Guest guest
I use Trigram's Acubase and have been quite satisfied. When I have questions, problems or suggestions, Jason the developer is very quick to respond via email. You can download the program from their website and try it for 30 days before paying. , " jlshutt " <jlshutt wrote: > > Hello all! I have been battling with billing software issues. Guest guest
Jamie and Elie, I, too, use Office Ally and find them to be very good. I'm very surprised to hear you say, Elie, that you don't get paid for 6 weeks. Are they going out electronically from Office Ally or on paper? Office Ally will send paper claims if the insurance company won't accept electronic. There are still a few insurances that won't accept electronic and for those, the reimbursement can be 4 weeks. The electronic is 2-4 weeks at most, I'd say. I used to use Acubase but their upgrade was so expensive that I chose to switch. One thing I don't like about Office Ally is that it's difficult or impossible to print out a statement containing multiple dates of service for a patient that is easy to read. Sometimes patients want such a statement for their records. Other times they still owe me and I want to show how much for which dates. What can be printed is difficult to make sense of. Guest guest
Thank you for getting back to me so promptly. I am wondering if you are using their Practice Mate software as well as batching claims through Office Ally or just batching your claims through them. The system is quite time consuming with the inputing of patients per visit in comparison to other programs. For example, Medisoft they have multilinks for your codes which is a huge saver of time as well as the system does not have you re-input each client per visit. I find it to be very time consuming but perhaps I am missing some of the tricks. I am still inputing my patient's info from Medisoft over to Office Ally. I am happy with it being online so it is possible to work on this from anywhere outside of the office as well. Thank you again for your input on this matter. Guest guest
Hi Marian, Yes, it does go out electronically so I am not sure why it takes that long. It's still worth it to me as it's a free program and makes billing easier. @Jamie. Yes I use their Practice Mate software and I agree with you that it's great that no downloads are required and can be used anywhere. Thanks, Elie TCM Directory Boost your rankings!
