Guest guest
If any of you haven't been to the Blue Poppy site (www.bluepoppy.com), you might want to take a look. We have now posted all our research reports and articles for free and they are now searchable digitally. There are over 500 articles all for free waiting for anyone who wants to acess them, with new articles added every month. Also, there is a new section of audio interviews for you to listen to, and we will be expanding this section on a regular basis as well. Since all of this is free, I didn't think anyone would mind the plug.
Guest guest
That's great, Bob. I have bought a few articles in the past and look forward to utilizing this section in the future as well. Looks like the " download generation " is hitting everywhere. Thanks for all your work, Doug , " Bob Flaws " <pemachophel2001 wrote: > > If any of you haven't been to the Blue Poppy site (www.bluepoppy.com), > you might want to take a look. I've purchased individual articles in the past and they were a great help in the mini-research I was doing at the time. Opening all those articles up to the community is one of the most significant gifts the field has ever received, it represents years of work that everyone can benefit from. It also one of the first major efforts towards an English database of Chinese journal articles. Our neighbors to the East have vast databases of Chinese medical information, books and journals alike. Having the computerized search capacity revolutionizes research, and it is unavoidably the trend in both Western and Eastern medicine. Notably, the Blue Poppy articles all use consistently applied terminology, which allows digital searching to be meaningful. If the files were all searchable, I could show up as an outsider, type in a standard TCM English term (say, liver depression), and I'd get all of the relevant hits. The current lack of consistency across multiple English sources would hamper the search capacity of most compilations, but the Blue Poppy articles are a step ahead because the translations of technical terms are already consistent.
