The potential for them to screw up is pretty high, considering their

history. Hmmm, maybe they can come up with a beverage that treats the

Not that this has much to do with TCM but Nestle has a big part of the bottled

water

market in China. Coca Cola may be looking for an angle that will allow them to

control

part of the market that has little to do with the medicine. I can imagine the

money they are

putting into the Academy is minor compared to their marketing budget yet it is

relatively

high profile. Such as this article shows.

Herbal beverages are common in Chinese 7-11s and supermarkets, and I

wouldn't be surprised if the sales of qing cao summerheat teas and

american ginseng drinks rivals the sales of soft drinks and water in

some markets. Currently, all the companies producing those drinks are

domestic Chinese companies, so Coca Cola may be looking to penetrate

that side of China's large domestic market.
