Guest guest
Does anyone have any experience reducing tics associated with Tourettes? The patient is a 50 year old in good overall health, female, slightly overweight, tends to Spleen damp,Liver Qi stagnation, blood vacuity and some Kidney yin and yang vacuity. Tinnitus has been a slight problem over the last 15 years but has gotten worse in the last year or so as yin has declined with menopause. She has had the problem for over 30 years., and remembers having some tics as a youngster after which they disappeared for quite a while. Generally augmented Xiao Yao wan tends to be the best formula for her constitution with additions for dampness . With that as the guiding formula are there any herbs that are effective additions for this issue? Does anyone know of any research reports out there on this? thank you for any ideas. R. Guest guest
my son has tourettes and it is controlled beautifully with tian ma gou teng wan. it is the only formula that successfully knocks out his ticks 100%. we had success with NAET as well but it was only temporary. as soon as his tell tale signs start (mood swings and finger sniffing) i start him immediately with the Tian Ma Gou Teng Wan and his tells disappear quickly and the ticks never come any more. No one would ever believe he has tourettes. Thank you for the reply, In what form does your son take the herbs? American, Chinese pill, patent, granule or raw? I had not previously heard of such good success with chinese herbal medicine for this problem so I am happy to hear of your success. R. Guest guest
How deep is the use of Tian Ma Gou Teng Yin with Tourettes? Specifically the more dramatic verbal issues associated with it. Guest guest
I haven't used it for Tourette's. Just garden variety tics and spasms. By the way, not all Tourette's patients have verbal issues. Some just have minor tics. - Bill Schoenbart , " " wrote: > > How deep is the use of Tian Ma Gou Teng Yin with Tourettes? > Specifically the more dramatic verbal issues associated with it. > Doug > > > > > , " bill_schoenbart " > <plantmed2@> wrote: > > > > I have also had success in treating facial tics and trapezius spasms > > with Tian Ma Gou Teng Yin. > > > > - Bill Schoenbart > > >
