Guest guest
Hi Andrea and Z'ev - I've only had one patient express what was basically a minor concern over the safety of Chinese herbs. I pointed out that the herbs I sell meet Australian GMP standards and that these standards have been in place for years. In other words, due to the GMP practices, Chinese herbal remedies are not only quite safe but in fact are one of the safest products coming from China. It doesn't hurt to mention the fact that Australian standards are preferable to US standards either. Take care and have a happy and prosperous New Year - Kim On Dec 31, 2007 9:10 AM, <zrosenbe wrote: > So far, Andrea, I've heard nothing, or had any resistance to taking > Chinese herbs. Guest guest
Beth, Z'ev, and Kim, It seems that patients who are open to Chinese herbal treatment will seek out a practitioner they feel they can trust. Even with that, the recent news has created suspicions. It's really necessary to offer the reassurances of the Australian GMP standard and ethics of the companies we deal with. I have met representatives of most of the companies I trade with at professional seminars. The personal relationships we have stand up well against rumors about things foreign and unknown. It is an uphill struggle these days, probably more so for those of us in the boonies. It is a time to keep a strong GV and keep on a'goin' with what we believe in. Guest guest
And in line with this topic, I just came across this article about Viagra-laced Chinese formulas being sold out of Puerto Rico: http://www.allheadlinenews.com/articles/7009574759 Ah, well. Happy New Year and best wishes to all. Kim , " Frances L.
