For those of you who may have known Debra:

Debra K. Friedman, age 56, passed away after a short illness on Friday, Dec.

28, 2007, at the HospiceCare Center. She was born in 1951. Debbie graduated

from Northwestern University in 1973. She was an acupuncturist for more than

20 years and an advocate for alternative medicine. Debbie helped found

WISCA, Wisconsin Society of Certified Acupuncturists, and was president for

a number of years. Debbie was grateful that she had the opportunity to

travel. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, David; her son, Samuel

Friedman and his friend, Kay; very special friends, Audrey Payne, Noel Payne

and Melinda Strelak; and numerous friends and relatives. Debbie was preceded

in death by her parents, Harvey and Honey Korshak. Funeral services will be

held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610

Speedway Road, Madison, with Rabbi Kenneth Katz officiating. Burial will

follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may greet the family from noon until

the time of service on Monday. No flowers please. Memorials may be made to

the Beth Israel Center Library Fund or to the charity of the donors choice.

Thank you to the staff of HospiceCare Inc.
