(1) Zi-hua-di-ding is not Fumitory; it is Hb Violae yedoensis - Tokyo

/ Phillipine Violet.

 

I can find very few medicinal data on Chinese WWW for Qiu-guo-zi-jin-

shu or Yan-jin-shu [Hb / Cacumen Fumariae officinalis - Fumitory

Flowering Tops; Fumariaceae; fumitory family (Yanhusuoke - related to

Yanhusuo)]. If any of you has Chinese data for Fumitory, please post

to the List

 

(2) Alfalfa is Muxu.

Damp w Sinew & Bone Pain: Muxuye 60g (minced), Doufu 120g, Zhuyou

2spoons; stew & take continuously;

 

CAUTIONS: L-canavanine in S & sprouts (not Fm) may cause rare lupus-

like Pattern / lupus flares; may cause rare cases of pancytopenia,

dermatitis & ST-SI-LI upset; CAUTION in grass allergies; CAUTION w

blood thinners; AVOID in SJM-SP-ST Xu Cold, faeces loose / emaciation

w inappetance

What of course i love about CM views of herbs used by Western herbalists is

that the classification of them actually makes them clinically useful.

Notice that it is not so easy to stick these into one of the categories --

I'd say that's good or at least alright. One of the problems is deciding how

relatively strong an herb like alfalfa is in one of its properties compared

to one in Bensky.
