The following data are speculative, cobbled together from Liebert &

other WWW sources in English. For supplies, see:

The data may not be correct because I could not find one source that

gives all these data.

 

If anyone else has more accurate data, please post to the List.

 

If anyone knows the correct HANZI characters for Bing-de-ling, please

post them to me off-list and I will see if I can locate chinese data

for the formula.

 

FORMULA NAME: Bingde Ling [cannot find the Hanzi characters]

 

Has: Huangqi [boost AKC (Activated Killer Cell) cytotoxity; Boost

antibody production & Helper T-cell activity; may cause mouth ulcers

& irritability];

Dahuang [Antibacterial; Antivirus; may cause ST cramps & diarrhoea];

 

??Banlangen [boost WBC & peripheral monocyte counts; may cause ST

cramps & diarrhoea];

 

??Shanzhuyu [Tone KI & Protect Fluids ];

 

DOSE: 20-30g BID;

 

ACTIONS: Immunostimulant; Upregulate Immune Activity; Boost SP

production & activity of IL-2 & IFN-gamma; Inhibit IL-6 (cause of

many side-effects of cancer chemotherapy); Boost macrophage, NKC &

lymphokine-activated Killer Cell cytotoxicity; Antivirus; Anticancer;

Support Cancer Chemotherapy, esp 5-FU;

 

CLINICAL USES: virus diseases; Ganmao / flu, Chronic Fatigue Pattern,

Thanks for your reply, but I was hoping you could tell me which herbs were in

the formula. For example is there Huang Qi, Bai Zhu, Fang Feng…etc
