Hi CHA,

Just wanted to give you a follow up on my toe patient that I posted a

few weeks ago...

I saw him today, and after only 4 acupuncture sessions and a week of

raw herbs, his symptoms are completely resolved. He is amazed.. as I

had mentioned before, he has had this condition for 10 years, seen

countless docs and had every test in the book, and came to chinese

medicine in desperation. The patient reported that the CM tx gave

faster results than prednizone which was the ONLY thing that brought

relief in the past.

Thanks to everyone who answered my post and gave me feedback. This

forum is invaluable to me as many times I feel that I am alone in

practice and still in need of a teacher.

Hi Cynthia,

I am glad to hear of this success. I know you asked for input. What did you

end up doing for him that worked so well?

Congratulations, Cynthia!

It's wonderful to hear that your patient's condition was resolved so

quickly, and, very importantly, that he does not need to take

steroids any longer!

If you would be so kind as to recap for us both his original

presentation and history along with the treatment you provided, I,

for one, would deeply appreciate it. I am a new practitioner and

often spend time combing through old posts to try to find such info,

but it is usually thinly spread out over many, many postings. A

consolidated posting of your success would benefit many of us, I

suspect.

Thanks so much,

Hi Andrea Beth, it is a complicated case but basically my DDX was

damp-heat in the liver w/ lv qi stag, Wind-Heat lodged in the skin and

damp-heat in the lower burner. Herbs: a blend of Xiao Feng San & Ba

Zheng Tang, raw herbs decocted daily. He has since switched over to

granules. Acupuncture points used were to clear heat, move liver qi

and calm the shen, drain damp-heat.

Thanks for your support!
