Guest guest
I'm wondering how important it is to read medical and philosophical texts in Chinese? There are so many texts. It would take several lifetimes just to read, comprehend and integrate what is already translated. I'm in the beginning of studying Chinese characters and am curious for those who are fluent, if reading characters will enrich the experience and context of understanding the medicine a lot more than reading the translations in English. Is writing characters important in the cultivation of being a good physician? how? What about writing and speaking? Thanks for sharing your experience. Regarding the meaning, do not rely upon the provisional meaning alone, but rely upon the definitive meaning. And regarding the definitive meaning, do not rely upon ordinary consciousness, but rely upon wisdom awareness.
