Guest guest
Aln, In the Worsley tradition, the point could definitely be used to help a person " chill out " , relax, and refresh themselves by contacting a deeper, cool, place within, particularly if you detect a TW imbalance. I have found that to be the case when I have been treated with this point. I hope that is useful, Neil Pregozen , " aln aln " <aln393 wrote: > > Hello all , > > > > Yes, I know that we are usually talking about herbs and formulas > > But, need your kind help with ref. for point function – TW-11 ( qing leng > yuan). > > > > Beside all function that you can find in the books that point is good for > the shoulder and arm Pain im looking for some ref. or your experience if > this point also calm spirit or reduce stress . > > > > Will appreciate your input, knowledge and self experience. > > > > Thanks > > > > Aln > > >
Guest guest
Aln, Here is a fun reference: http://www.yinyanghouse.com/acupuncturepoints/th11 I would add that I NEVER used this point, until recently where I had a patient who had weakness in his tricep muscle. It was either in Guillaume's Rheumatology book or in Deadman's Manual book about using this point for loss of function. I haven't heard of any relation to stress or calming Shen in context of TCM. It did work very well for my patient's loss of function though. Guest guest
Aln - You might be looking for SJ10 for the Shen effects rather than SJ11. Guest guest
Dear Neil, Thanks for your answer, it was very helpful. I am not that familiar with Worsley tradition, but I know it is 5 element approach. What I know that TW is one of the 4 organs we have in the fire element and TW-10 is the earth point. Maybe you know and can help me understand why TW-11 can " chill out " or relax … what relationships she got with the organs or the shen. Appreciate your assistance and cooperation Aln 2008/2/27, npregozen <npregozen: > > > Aln, > > In the Worsley tradition, the point could definitely be used to help a > person " chill out " , relax, and refresh themselves by contacting a > deeper, cool, place within, particularly if you detect a TW imbalance. > I have found that to be the case when I have been treated with this point. > > I hope that is useful, > Neil Pregozen > > --- In <%40>, > " aln aln " <aln393 wrote: > > > > Hello all , > > > > > > > > Yes, I know that we are usually talking about herbs and formulas > > > > But, need your kind help with ref. for point function – TW-11 ( qing > leng > > yuan). > > > > > > > > Beside all function that you can find in the books that point is > good for > > the shoulder and arm Pain im looking for some ref. or your experience if > > this point also calm spirit or reduce stress . > > > > > > > > Will appreciate your input, knowledge and self experience. > > > > > > > > Thanks > > > > > > > > Aln > > > > > >
