Guest guest
Jason, Yes. I thought that " peer review " was the whole reason for this forum. Also, critical thinking behooves us, because it benefits the medicine, which is much bigger than any of us. Furthermore, ad hominem attacks should be kept out of arguments. Hopefully, we're all thin skinned, warm-blooded mammals. There aren't any lizards here, are there? This is a very green meme thing to believe, but I think that all of us have something to share from each other, hence the membership with this forum. Which gets to my point, the arguing is great, but I think there should be some ground rules. 1. Use critical thinking and close reading 2. Respect everyone else's person. We can fight over the opinions. On a similar note, some arguments create " incompatibility effects " (side effects) and others create " antagonisms " (reduces or cancels functions). Sometimes, the side effects stimulate more interesting discussion. At other times, they only create bad feelings. A friend of mine says that according to one tradition, Ren Shen's incompatibility with Wu Ling Zhi can actually create stronger effects (clashing/ abrasive energy) than if they were used alone and sometimes this could be used for our advantage. I haven't used these two together, so I can't speak of the effects, but it's an interesting concept. Has anyone used incompatible pairs to strengthen their " destructive " energy? and how could this apply clinically?
