I agree. In contrast to Gancao & Yuanhua (which should not be used

together), Gancao & Yuanzhi are used together in many traditional and

modern Chinese formulas (see examples below). Also, two forms of

Yuanzhi (Zhiyuanzhi & Miyuanzhi) are specifically prepared by cooking

in Gancao infusion.
