And I could be completely off-base there. On a related note, I do remember a few years back when they started selling ginseng extract in all the quicky marts and we started seeing patients with anxiety, dark urine, insomnia, palpitations, fevers, etc - only to find out they were popping ginseng left and right. Our profs generally preferred huang qi for a general qi tonic since it doesn't get locked in the body as ren shen can.
