C-51 does propose sweeping new language, and it indeed could have

negative repercussions for herbal meds and supplements. I'd consider

this the 'trial balloon' stage of the Bill - if there is enough hue

and cry, it will discreetly die...and if there is no squawk, it will

walk. Could this happen in the US? The question comes a little late!

It may just be the recent successful inroads of the US FDA that have

stimulated the proposal of C-51 in Canada.
