Guest guest
Has anyone taken Sharon Weizenbaum 2 year graduate class and if so how did you like it? If anyone has taken Bob Flaws Herbology Class, how would you compare the two? Thanks
Guest guest
I haven't taken herbology from Sharon, but a friend has and loved it. I also would highly recommend the Rocky mountain herbal institute TCM herbology program. It is distance learning, but the design is brilliant and is case study based as well as using a cd learning tool which makes you learn in spite of yourself. I took the course and found it invaluable, The teacher, Roger Wicke, is always available for mentoring and help. Google RMHI. Pauline Vaughan M.A. (Psyche.). D.Ac. Guest guest
I highly recommend Sharon Weizenbaum's Graduate Mentorship Program. I took this class a few years ago it gives me confidence and results in the clinic. The material is so rich, and comes straight from Sharon's active practice of over 25 years and all of her studies with her teachers. I have so much confidence in a formula (take for example a formula for blocked fallopian tubes) that Sharon learned from her teacher and has used many times in her own practice with success. Sharon is a serious student of Chinese medicine, and takes these studies and puts them right into practice. Sharon teaches a very straightforward method of diagnosis and demonstrates how to get to a very focused formula from that diagnosis. Her understanding of physiology and pathophysiology is clear and refreshing, and she shows how this understanding allows us see the dynamic of what is happening in our patients ( ultimately leading to a formula). In addition to learning this method, most of the weekends focus on a a particular topic, 'women's health', 'respiratory', 'pregnancy and postpartum', 'Cancer'. Sharon is so willing to share everything she has learned in her career and these gems are so helpful in my own practice. Feel free to contact me if you have specific questions about the course! I have not taken the Bob Flaws class so I have no comparisons.
