Guest guest
Hello All, Up until now, I've been having Mayway put together my custom 5:1 extract powdered formulas because I did not want to invest in the stock. I'm in a position now where enough of my patients are taking herbs that I feel more comfortable stocking many ingredients and powdered formulas. I'll be composing and mixing the powdered formulas myself and need to put the powder into containers for the patients. I'd like a good quality container with a good lid, similar to the ones that Mayway uses for their powdered prescription service. I called Mayway, and they were no help, and they do not sell empty containers. I'd like some leads as to where I could find such containers, of course, at a good price (so I can keep the final cost low). Thanks in advance for your help. Brian C. Guest guest
I've found very good 50 gram round white bottles from Eastern Currents in Vancouver. They hold a week's worth of powder. They may be able to tell you where to get them in the US. They have a good top with a seal that attaches when you close to bottle. They cost 40 cents each. Being white, you can print up your own Avery label to attach to the bottle and the whole package looks very professional (if you're good at designing your label.) Pauline Vaughan M.A.(Psych.) D.AC. Thanks for that info, Pauline, but 50g would be a little too small for my needs. I typically dose higher than that - starting formulas at 70g for a 1 week supply (5g 2x/day), sometimes more. I know there are Chinese herbalists out there doing this. Where do you get your bottles / containers. I really, really don't want to use ziploc bags or something like that. Brian C. Thanks, Al, but I do not know who your main and secondary suppliers are. I was looking for specifics. I have previously called Mayway (my main supplier), and they do not sell the bottles. ....anyone have an actual web link to the product(s) they purchase, or a phone # with a company name, etc....... I did try Google, and I didn't have any luck. I guess I wasn't searching quite well enough. Brian C. Guest guest
Hi Brian, I get the smaller bottles from Evergreen, (100 g. powder, or 100 capsules). Evergreen man have both sizes, but I get my large bottles from Blue Light (200 g capacity, or 200 capsules). According to the Blue Light website they have both size bottles. I thought that they dropped the smaller size. More: http://www.treasureofeast.com/itemlist.html Evergreen's bottle supplies are found here: http://www.evherb.com/Products/supplies.htm Good luck on your bottle search! And I have no interest in either of these companies. -al. On Fri, May 9, 2008 at 6:44 AM, bcataiji <bcataiji wrote: > I did try Google, and I didn't have any luck. Guest guest
I get my empty containers from Golden Flower at 800 729-8509. They sell a few different ones. The kind I buy are I think called KPC bottles and cost 20 cents each. Andy Seplow, L.Ac. --- bcataiji <bcataiji wrote: > , " Al > Stone " <al wrote: > > The herb extract distributors sell them.
