Thomas, I am glad you dodged the earthquake. Do you have any

information for us on the effect of the earthquake on herb availability

for the coming years? I understand that lots of dang gui, gou qi zi,

astragalus, scute, tian qi and dang shen was lost, or at least can't be

obtained due to road damage. Do you have any better information?

Hi Karen and All,

I'm afraid I don't have any information about herb availability. The news is

full of earthquake news and yesterday the entire country came to a halt at

2:28pm to honor the victims of the disaster. It would appear from Chinese

television that the government is " johnny on the spot " and people seem to be

coming together to donate money, blood, etc in an effort to help.

But I am in Beijing....so I really have no idea what is happening.
