Saw Palmetto is known to inhibit 5 alpha reductase:

Other studies show that the effect is improved when it is combined

Thanks. I was however aware that saw palmetto can downregulate 5-alpha

reductase, as well as many other Western herbs such as pumpkin seed. I am

just curious, is saw palmetto a Chinese botanical?
