Guest guest
Dear Huang Huang students, I've been reading up on the many articles describing Huang Huang's approach using Shang Han Lun formulas with a constitutional cross-reference. Very interesting. I found the majority of the articles here<http://classicformulas.com/>and here<http://www.whitepinehealingarts.com/Articles/Huang_Huang_Notebook/notebook_\ attachments/H2_articles/> .. Huang Huang and his translators describe a few types, such as the Gui Zhi type, etc. They are well adept at using words to describe these types, but I'm having trouble really 'groking' their totality. I wonder if anybody who's studied with Huang Huang would be able to upload some images of these constitutional types. A good image with a clear face and body structure would go a long way to help me consider these constitutional types. Thanks, and track me down off-list if you need some help with publishing images. I'd be happy to help you get this done. -al. -- , DAOM Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional.
Guest guest
Al Simple sketches are included in Dr Huang's book Ten Major Categories of Chinese medicine. ä¸é†«å大類方 (zhong yi shi da lei fang). This book is being translated by Michael Max and should be out in the near future. I assume he will include the illustrations in his translation. You might want to contact Michael if you don't have access to this book and would like more information. His website is listed below (classicformulas.com) and (http://www.yongkangclinic.com/) Cheers Daniel Altschuler - Al Stone Chinese Herbal Medicine List Friday, September 26, 2008 12:44 PM A picture is worth shi bai zi Dear Huang Huang students, I've been reading up on the many articles describing Huang Huang's approach using Shang Han Lun formulas with a constitutional cross-reference. Guest guest
Al, Thanks for the references. I have never studied with huang huang but have read his books for some years now. Very interesting indeed. Consequently, before all this HH buzz I wrote an article about huang qi / huang qi constitutions, based on his material. You may have seen it, if not it is located here: Chinese Medicine/index.php?page=Chinese_Medicine_Articles - On Behalf Of Al Stone Friday, September 26, 2008 1:44 PM Chinese Herbal Medicine List A picture is worth shi bai zi Dear Huang Huang students, I've been reading up on the many articles describing Huang Huang's approach using Shang Han Lun formulas with a constitutional cross-reference.
