Guest guest
Hi All, Today, I stumbled on what appears to be an awesome TCM database online (free) at http://www.tcm100.com/ but you must be able to read / translate Chinese to use it properly. It has links to Special Research Database, Formula Database, TCM Ancient Books Full-text Database, TCM Basic Phrases, TCM Basic Phrases - w English translation & Other Databases. For an idea of the scope of the info, see the (mediocre) Google Translation at http://tinyurl.com/5sfxys and click on a topic of interest there, for example, click on Professional Database or Chinese medicine database or Prescription Database or The full text of ancient Chinese medicine database or Basic terms of Chinese medicine or Basic terms of Chinese medicine [English Translation} I have not had time to explore these pages properly. It would be great if colleagues fluent in Chinese would take a critical look and report back to the List as to the value (or otherwise) of the site. Links to user-searchable text from Suwen, Lingshu, Shanghan Lun, Jinggui Yaolue, & Wenbing Tiaobian & other Classics are at http://www.tcm100.com/zhongyiguji.aspx but you must REGISTER (free) to use the search options. Herb Categories, with links to details of classical herbs, are at http://www.tcm100.com/userReg/JiaoCai/ZhongYaoXue/ZhongYaoXueMuLu.aspx For example, do you know the names and professional details for 52 single herbs (!!) that enter ALL THREE Channels of LU, HT & KI? If not, you can get the data in a few seconds! As a test, [assuming that you have some knowledge of Chinese], search the Single Herbs Database at http://www.tcm100.com/ShuJuKu/ZhongYao/ZhongYao.aspx Go to that URL and select the " Enter Channel " option beside each of the 3 search panels. Then enter the Chinese symbols for Fei, Xin & Shen (putting only one symbol in each of the 3 search panels) and select the AND option. Then click the search button, and see the results. For details of any herb of interest, click on the blue link for that herb. On http://tinyurl.com/5cqknn there are Chinese terms, with links to English translations, under the following headings: 01. General 02. The history of medical literature 03. Basis of the theory of Chinese medicine 04. Diagnostics 05. Therapeutics 06. Pharmacy 07. Prescription school 08. Acupuncture 09. Massage, health, rehabilitation 10. Internal diseases 11. Surgical diseases 12. Gynecological diseases 13. Pediatric disease 14. Ophthalmic diseases 15. ENT diseases 16. Anorectal diseases 17. Dermatological diseases 18. Orthopedic disease Best regards,
