Guest guest
Hello Group, My Mom's dog has increasing rate of petit mal seizures. I would like to prescribe herbs but have a few questions: 1. Dosage for small dogs 2. Recommneded formulas [lv/kd yin vacuity w/ empty heat = internal winds] Thanks for any help you can offer. For instance, if a 150 lb mammal needs 18 grams of extract powder per day (as per Taiwanese standard of care) you can assume a 15 lb mammal would use 1.8 grams of extract per day. > > 2. I've treated my share of dogs and have gotten a lot of very positive feedback in regards to their response. Hope this works out for you and your mom and your mom's pooch. -- , DAOM Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional.
Guest guest
If you'd like to contact me off-list, I'll be glad to pass along a lot of information about canine epilepsy. I currently have a dog with epilepsy, (just being treated with Chinese medicine, and doing great), and had another dog with epilepsy in the past, (who also did well with Chinese medicine.) There are also a lot of supplements that you can look into that might be helpful. Just email me off-list, and I'll pass the information along. I'm not a vet, so you would need to talk to a vet, of course, about any of the information. Jeri
Guest guest
Dave, I agree with Al. I have also treated dogs and had very positive feedback. You can put the herbs/powered extract/decoction in with some fresh meat and bone food, or some sort of gravy prepared for the dog. They usually eat it with no problem.
