Guest guest
How about anxiety as an underlying condition? Perhaps something that contains long gu and mu li? Guest guest
We have a similar case in one of the schools with little resolution after 3 weeks. 12 year old woman with incontinence all her life, especially with laughter or cough etc... She also had anxiety. Remarkable that she was very light and funny (well, she like my jokes), definitely a balance to her mother's general liver qi. After just the few treatments her anxiety got much better but no change in urination. We talked about Qi Gong/Kegel exercises, doctors found no structural issues. Guest guest
Hi Al, I also treated a couple of years ago a couple of similar patients. In Blue Poppy's book on bedwetting there is an experiental point needled on the hand which in both cases resolved the problem completely after just 4 weekly treatments. If you don " t have the book let me know and I'll look it up for you. --- On Fri, 12/19/08, Al Stone <al wrote: Al Stone <al Re: Bedwetting in a 15 male Friday, December 19, 2008, 7:31 AM How about anxiety as an underlying condition? Guest guest
I've treated a couple of cases, both of which looked remarkable similar to the case that Doug presents with one exception being that one of the women is in her mid twenties. Both of these cases I treated with Sang Piao Xiao San (KPC granules at 10g a day) with which I've also seen resolve a couple of cases of geriatric incontinence. The 25 y.o. periodically calls for a refill. She is very anxious and has dealt with this since childhood. She also adheres to a vegan diet and is quite qi and blood xu. I've done more to treat the root in all these cases, and also tend to use Western herbs as an adjunct in anxiety cases. Hope this helps. Guest guest
One of the pediatric texts out there, don't recall which, suggests that if a child over a certain age (7-9?) has enuresis, it may be impossible to treat with only TCM, because at this point it is a behavioural issue, and re-training is necessary to instill correct habits. Good luck. Melanie
Guest guest
before I treated my son with NAET he used to wet the bed from food allergies. He was most likely to wet the bed with dairy and food additives. Once I treated him he stopped wetting the bed.
