Guest guest
I understand generally the uses of Ci Shi(magnetite)as heavy nature to calm shen, relieve palpitations, insomnia, nervousness, help vision and hearing and increase kidney and liver qi, esp yin. I like it, my question is; is it possibly similar to the actions of Volcanis rock, zeolite? Volcanic rock when pulverized and given in solution is seeming to me, from the preliminary studies, is one of the best natural chelation materials ever. I am not easily swayed, but the science seems there too. Negatively charged scrounging the system for toxins of many kinds, bonding to them and eliminating them. Also, when it's negative charge is reduced because of picking up a toxic load in the body, tumors are more easily penetrated and destroyed. The clinical cancer trial sucesses so far are almost beyond belief, even as a preventative. Has anything been done with Ci Shi, in this way? Please any thoughts about all this would be welcome. I am about to recommend it to my patients who can use it. Thanks, Fran
Guest guest
I have been unable to find any clinical trials, although the Zeolite manufacturer claims that there are 14 of them. Do you have any info? - Bill , " ykcul_ritsym " <ykcul_ritsym wrote: > > I understand generally the uses of Ci Shi(magnetite)as heavy nature to calm shen, relieve palpitations, insomnia, nervousness, help vision and hearing and increase kidney and liver qi, esp yin. > I like it, my question is; is it possibly similar to the actions of Volcanis rock, zeolite? > Volcanic rock when pulverized and given in solution is seeming to me, from the preliminary studies, is one of the best natural chelation materials ever. Guest guest
As far as I can tell, the zeolite seems to be a scam with nonexistent studies. A Medline search will turn up hundreds of studies that zeolite CAUSES cancer (usually from breathing it), and a couple of poorly done Croatian studies claiming limited antioxidant and anticancer effects in mice. Topically it will draw, like any mud, which doesn't make it an internal detoxifier. _http://www.litmuszine.com/feature/side_4.23.07.html_ (http://www.litmuszine.com/feature/side_4.23.07.html) British herbalist Jonathan Treasure has an interesting and entertaining article on it in his blog with other entries on his misadventures with Walora representatives. But more interestingly, we know that the mineral content of most foods in the US went down an average of 30% between 1975 and 1990, based on USDA studies. Since the minerals seem to anchor shen (as well as to play a role in most of our enzymatic reactions) what implications might that have for the shen of our society? Magnesium and trace minerals might be a better bet than zeolite. Karen S. Guest guest
Hi, right. I'm not convinced. The pulverized form does not cause cancer, so I suspect there is more to the tale of possible benefit. I am also repulsed by health products that have 'tier', or 'networked' distribution, as opposed to discounts for practitioners or large buyers, which is sensible. What about Ci Shi? Any comments? Thank you very much. ________________________________ " creationsgarden1 " <creationsgarden1 Saturday, April 11, 2009 12:26:52 PM Re:Questions about Ci Shi and Liquid Volcanic Rock(Zeolite?)
