I'm not sure if you think this is expensive or dirt cheap. In the Itouch Iphone

world, programs usually sell for under $3 in the hopes that millions will buy

their funky game or ... funky game. So it is expensive comparatively. The Itouch

itself is $200 so it ain't a cheap toy. I generally haul my laptop around anyway

and use Formula Finder but this is nice as well as a pocket device. I tried a

Palm Pilot for years but it never lived up to its potential for me.

Yes I'm sure that Li Shih Zhen would be writing a Iphone program in our time.

they have to charge that: it's not like an app that millions of users

will download.

Thanks for the review, Doug! I'd recently written to Mark Tryling who did the

Formulas and Herbs databases for the treo and he really wasn't interested in

doing an application for the iPhone yet. I'm glad you found one!

And, compared to the one for the treo, $25 is pretty reasonable. I think the

treo app ran for about $35 if I'm not mistaken. I mean, we're not trying to use

a Lightsaber application, we're trying to look up formulas, so it's worth $25 to

me.
