Guest guest
I bought an iTouch which is an iPhone without the phone. Recently I found the exact application I wanted for it. Below is a short review of Ben Cao: Chinese Herbology that I posted to the iTunes store. Very, very good application. I'm sure it's use will be limited to the student and practitioner of . This is not for the consumer or casual user of herbs. Licensed acupuncturists will appreciate how it gives formulas and individual herbs that are easily found by category, Pinyin or English name. Seems to follow standard Bensky. Some very nice features such as listing the formulas that each herb is found in. Also for those of us teachers and students in California, it flags California State Board formulas. Listings can be found through a menu or either herbs, formulas, symptoms or syndromes. Me and some of my colleagues with Itouch have begun to write a similar app. This is so complete that we've stopped because there is no need for another. It's very expensive compared to other Apps but it has a very limited audience and is well worth the price. I use it in my clinic and when I am teaching herbal classes. Very well done.
