Guest guest Posted May 11, 2009 Report Share Posted May 11, 2009 John and all, Cara is absolutely correct, the sac that the stinger is attached to is released by the bee (who subsequently perishes) and you should be careful not to squeeze it, unless of course you are doing apitherapy, in which case you can decide how much you want to use. Although I have seen injection of bee venom I have only used the actual bees as therapy. It is a great therapy, for those who are not allergic of course, for all sorts of pain, such as joint pain. I have stung points with bees for some fine results. Incidentally, according to legend bee keepers don't get cancer.....
