Chin Med Focus Extract: SP Qixu: SP Governs Water Movemen, therefore SP Disharmony impairs urination; It is very common to have CPPS from SP Qixu esp if pollakisuria & distention in pelvis are most predominant symptoms; w SP Qixu signs, accompanying congestion in pelvis is often dt Damp; Other common SP Qi SSs are bloating, faeces loose & sticky, fatigue, breath shortness, sinus headaches, soft voice & a scalloped tongue; Damp can also be factor w SP; SP09 is effective for SP Qi Xu w Damp; SP09 + ST40 is effective to Drain Damp; SP09 + LU05 can be used to Rectify Qi in Taiyin; use SP03 is for more Xu; If there is tightness at SP08, then needling it will help to Move Stag in Channel; This is esp powerful when combined w BL58; LV Qizhi / Qiyu: If problem derives from referred pain dt muscle tightness, LV Qizhi / Qiyu may be problem; SSs include a string like pulse, rib side pain, stress & headache; LV Channel encircles genitalia & is esp important to consider it; If LV is root problem, combination of LV03 + LV14 is effective; Use LV02 if there is also Heat from lv Qizhi / Qiyu; GB34 can relax tight muscles; for genital / scrotum pain, LV05 (Luo Pt), can be effective to Open LV Channel; KI Xu: KI Governs Water & most aspects of urination, incl production of urine & opening & closing of BL; KI Qixu could be root of inhibited pollakisuria if it is accompanied by loin weakness, knee weakness & Pulse weak; Also, KI is more likely to be root in older men & those who have had symptoms for an extended period of time; KI03 + KI07 are both effective to Tone KI; Use KI07 for Yangxu predominance; CV04, GV04 & BL23 all Tone KI & are local points to bring Qi-Xue to area; BL Channel Stag: BL Channel Stag can cause painful & inhibited urination; BL Channel & organ are always involved w chronic prostatitis; it is helpful to treat BL; palpate BL Channel on leg esp at BL58 (Luo Pt); If this point is tight, deep needling upwards to Open BL Channel can be effective; BL65 is also effective to Free deep BL Channel Stag; CV03 (Mu Pt) also is important; Local points also are important; CV03,CV04 & KI12 can be used for pollakisuria; for Yangxu, use moxa to Warm Yang; If after a few treatments, there is no improvement in pollakisuria, low frequency electric stimulation on CV & KI Pts can be effective; Local points on loin & sacrum are essential to Ease Pain; BL32, BL33 & GV01 are most important; one should locate BL32 & BL33 precisely & needle deep enough find Deqi, using a 1.5-2 " needle; CV01 can be helpful also; instruct patient to massage perineum to relieve muscle spasm; Ahshi points on loin & pelvis can release tight muscles in hips, pelvis & lower back; Palpate to find tense areas; Best regards, Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
