Guest guest
Misha has let us know that we can join her Facebook page. However I am going to ask people that they not place CHA as a " friend " for facebook or other social networking sites. If you want to mention that you have a site or otherwise invite people I guess that is OK. I just don't want CHA to be another stepping stone for social networking sites. In other words notices like this will be considered " advertising " for the social network site. I admit at this point I'm not sure how these sites work and whether there is an potential intertwining of lists that we may eventually regret. And I don't want thousands of FB notices interrupting the important work of CHA... OK? Doug I set up a Facebook profile where I can post my pictures, videos and events and I want to add you as a friend so you can see it. First, you need to join Facebook! Once you join, you can also create your own profile. Thanks, Misha
Guest guest
Yeah, a lot of these social networks have these " invite your friends " function which makes use of your entire address book, including CHA and other mailing lists you may be d to. I'm confident that Misha wasn't attempting to advertise to all of the CHA list of her facebook page, but probably did allow facebook to use her address book. Hence, the notice here. Take away message is to be careful when you allow a social network site access to your email address book. Not sure if they (and they're all different) allows you to delete contacts on a per-use basis. That woudl be nice, but I don't know of any that provides that functionality. Guest guest
Hi everyone; Facebook did something weird - I did not mean to send this out to the group - however Facebook sent out an e-mail to everyone on my email list - thousands that I did not plan to send to. Sorry about that - please delete. Misha Misha R. Cohen, OMD, L.Ac.
