Guest guest
Mourningthe passing of a greatacupuncture leader and pioneer in the US: Dr. Miriam Lee Dr. Miriam Lee (Lee Chuan Djin), the first licensed acupuncturist in California, passed away on June 24, 2009. Dr.Lee's endeavors beginning more than thirty years ago contributed to the legalization of acupuncture in California. This had great impact and influence on acupuncture development and advancing throughout the US. Dr. Lee, along with her students Susan Johnson, Esther Su, and others, had been giving every effort to promote Tung's acupuncture in the US and Europe. Because of their contributions, Tung's acupuncture and traditional acupuncture are widely practiced in the western world. Today, we are very sorry for the loss of a good teacher and helpful friend. Her contributions in acupuncture will be always in our memory. Details for the Miriam's Funeral Friday July 3rd, 1:00 pm. Guest guest
Very sad to hear this. I know others knew her personally. My only connection was that the first acupuncture book I picked up was hers (and Essentials) in the 1980's and was inspired by her writing.
