Guest guest
My cousin's husband has been suffering from a health complaint for three years that the doctors have been unable to definitively diagnose or treat. Since I live in a different state and am still a student, I can't treat him. If any of you have any thoughts regarding treatment and/or know of any good practitioners in the area, it would be greatly appreciated. Specifically, they are interested in finding a good herbalist that could prescribe a customized raw formula. They live in Kingwood, TX, but anywhere in the Houston area would be helpful. Here is a description of the case, as written by his wife: " About three years ago, he literally woke up one morning feeling hung over. Of course he was in New Orleans at a bach party when it hit him, but the hang over never went away. He has since then, been having " episodes " that come and go quite regularly; headaches, dizzy spells, and complete and utter EXHAUSTION; like where he literally cannot get out of bed in the morning. The back of his neck gets really hot, and he feels feverish, but does not have a fever. The episodes come on with no rhyme nor reason; nothing specific sets it off, nothing that we know of cause them. They can last a couple days or in this case a couple weeks, with the symptoms waxing and waning daily. He gets to where he is breathing heavily because he is so exhausted. He NEVER feels normal, he NEVER feels good. He may just feel better because the episode is over. It's been this way for three years now. We have been to our GP a few times, they have taken lots of blood, tested him for anemia, over/under active thyroid, ect.ect.ect. He even had his blood tested at a cellular level to see if he was not absorbing certain vitamins and minerals. We went to an iridologist, who prescribed lots of vitamins; we went to an acupuncturist who wanted to see him twice a week. He went to a gastroenterologist and a chiropractor too. We simply do not have the funds to drop $100 a week on needles, back stretches or vitamins. And he is to the point where he wants to feel better NOW, not a year from now. He has never gotten a definitive answer on anything, and the doctor figures (guesses) he has chronic fatigue syndrome, which started as Epstein Barr. Basically they have no idea. We've looked into fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, and I've been reading up on celiac disease. " Thanks in advance, Katherine Sunderland-Nelson
