Guest guest
Thanks, Karen, Unrefined safflower oil seems to be available as an art supply (for oil painting), but I'd be afraid to recommend something not produced for internal consumption. I'll keep in mind that citrus addition to castor oil--certainly nice to move the qi in such circumstances. Having personally drunk a sufficient quantity of castor oil to kick start a stalled labor I'm not sure how much more palatable it would make it. I was advised by my midwife to make a castor oil cocktail with very cold vodka and juice, I think, but my memory of that labor is quite blurry! I had told my patient that safflower cooking oil might be useful (and at worst would upset her stomach), but that I was doing some more research. She has had her baby. Not sure though if she did end up trying it. --Sarah , creationsgarden1 wrote: > > I have personally experimented with castor oil internally, and found that a > little essential oil of citrus helps it go down- the lemon verbena would > certainly have a similar effect.
