Guest guest
Hi All- I have a patient recently diagnosed with tongue fungus. His tongue was biopsied to rule out other possibilities. Does anyone have any recommendations for treatment? I was thinking maybe gurgling yin-care. Any other herbal suggestions to treat the branch? I am treating his root pattern of LV/SP disharmony with various formulas and some success. Thanks you for any help you can offer. Guest guest
An oral wash of Huo Xiang and Pei Lan often works well. Guest guest
Doug, Would you mix a 50/50 solution and have them gurgle it for about 30 seconds? Anything else I should know? Thanks for helping me out with this. David Vitello
Guest guest
He can also gargle with liquid acidophilus. This works very quickly in cases of oral thrush. After gargling, it can be swallowed. - Bill Schoenbart , " dmvitello01 " <dmvitello wrote: > > Hi All- > > I have a patient recently diagnosed with tongue fungus. Guest guest
That sounds good. I'm only had people do this with raw herbs. I kind of think that granules wouldn't be as good but prove me wrong. Apparently this formula is used in China for bedridden patients who develop mouth fungus. I've used it for HIV patients, it takes a few days in hard cases... Doug , " dmvitello01 " <dmvitello wrote: > > Doug, > > Would you mix a 50/50 solution and have them gurgle it for about 30 seconds? Guest guest
Chewing a piece of Huang Lian also works. Let's just say " an aquired taste. " But very effective.
Guest guest
Possibly a morning mouth rinse of decocted Hou Po? Here's an interesting study on its anti-microbial effects: http://tinyurl.com/ogw7kx -Danny On Aug 17, 2009, at 8:53 AM, dmvitello01 wrote: > Hi All- > > I have a patient recently diagnosed with tongue fungus.
