Guest guest
Hi All, Have any of you tried Accuband magnets, taped to the AP Pts instead of needle-AP? What is your assessment of their efficacy compared with routine needle AP? Accuband magnets come in various strengths, from 800 to 9000 gauss. See: http://www.lhasaoms.com/acu_magnets-26-page.html Recently, a 12000-gauss version has been added to the range. See: http://www.lhasaoms.com/Accu_Band_REC_Magnets-26-1798-page.html My clinical experience of using Accuband magnets is limited, but I found the 6000 and 9000-gauss ones useful in a few (human) cases of chronic pain. Also, I have used them with very good results (with needle-AP + owner- applied TENS) in treating a few cases of peripheral nerve paralysis (facial, radial + suprascapular) in hiorses.
