Guest guest
Thank you Phil to bring this up to my attention. I have not heard of this Anemone altaica is also called " Jiu jie chang pu " before today. But if you search more thoroughly, I believe you could also find that most people agree the " jiu jie chang puä¹èŠ‚è–è’² " which was described in the old books is either Acorus calamus <http://baike.baidu.com/view/234014.htm> or Acorus gramineus <http://baike.baidu.com/view/128176.htm> . I'm not sure how " Anemone altaica " get the same name today, thank you again for this information, otherwise if I follow some old formulas I might get a totally different herb if " jiu-jie-chang-pu " is called. Thanks, Gerry On Thu, Sep 3, 2009 at 1:31 PM, < wrote: > > > Hi Gerry & All, > > See: http://tinyurl.com/n8mvjk and http://tinyurl.com/nl4o4f > > Rz Acori Calami: Changpu ; Zangchangpu ; Chouchangpu > ; Shuichangpu ; Nichangpu ; Dayechangpu ; > Baichangpu ; calamus/flag/flagleaf > > Rz Acori graminei / tatarinowii: Shichangpu ; Shanchangpu ; > Yaochangpu ; Jinqianpu ; Changpuye ; Shuijiancao > ; Xiangchangpu > > Chinese sources are confusing re clear distinctions between medical > properties of Acorus calamus and Acorus gramineus and often use them > interchangeably.
