Guest guest
Hello All, I am looking for some resources and help in treating my father whom has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma and amyloidsis. He had renal failure do to improper medication done by A hospital four days ago. He is stable now and his kidneys are functioning again and cleaning out. He is currently at Stanford Hospital and will be held there until the diagnosis and treatment plan is established. I know that chemo will be an option for him but probably not for atleast a month as his kidneys and body need to heal first. I heard Michael Brouffman (spelling could be wrong) in Marin is quite talented in working with cancer patients. My father lives in Santa Rosa. Any referrals would be great! Also please any worth noting texts that I could pick up to review and assist in his treatment would be excellent. I would like referrals to websites or information to help me work with him. This is very tough and unfortunately, I was just informed on the matter two days ago as my parents were not able to disclose this information without validation first. Please anyone that could point me in a direction I am all ears. I live in Alameda, CA so i have many things available to me. Thank you, Jamie Tokubo, L.Ac
Guest guest
Michael Broffman is my main teacher, and he is one of the experts on Chinese medical oncology. You can reach him at Pine St. Clinic at 415-485-0484. Guest guest
I strongly recommend you read the book " Outsmart Your Cancer " . It is not Chinese medicine, but will give many options that work. It is a quick read and well worth your time. Guest guest
Jamie, Although not a TCM person, Louis Johnson, MD is a former oncologist who now uses mostly herbs. She is fantastic. I worked with her a little many years ago but have not talked to her in several years. She is Sabastapol, as far as I know. Thomas
Guest guest
Thomas meant to say LOIS Johnson. Here's a tape of one of her cancer classes: http://www.treefarmtapes.com/catalog/product.asp?productid=2383 Another great resource is Donny Yance and his clinic in Ashland, Oregon. He also has a book on the herbal treatment of cancer: http://www.centrehealing.com/information/applied-therapies.cfm http://www.amazon.com/Herbal-Medicine-Healing-Cancer-Donald/dp/0879839686 - Bill Schoenbart , " " wrote: > > Jamie, > > Although not a TCM person, Louis Johnson, MD is a former oncologist who now uses mostly herbs. Guest guest
Hi Jen: Please look for my book The HIV Wellness Sourcebook. It is no longer in print however I often see it on Amazon both used and some new copies. Also, my clinic has some copies for sale. It is still quite relevant to current HIV/AIDS issues and addresses exactly your concerns. Yours, Misha Cohen , Jennifer Mohr <jmm752003 wrote: > > Can anyone recommend a book for HIV/AIDS, OI (opportunistic infection), and acupuncture? > Thanks, > Jen > > > Jennifer M.
