Herbal Tx of cryptorchidism [Yingao �� = hidden Testis]?

Hi All,

 

Herbal Tx of cryptorchidism was discussed on VBMA recently. I tried to find

WWW references on that.

 

Chinese sources, especially Chinese University / Hospital sources,

use repeated injections of HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) as

primary Tx, followed by surgery to exteriorise the testis (or remove it

if needs be) if HCG does not work within a few months.

 

Though some single herbs and formulas mention cryptorchidism as a

clinical indication, and several herbs + formulas are used to treat

other testicular disorders (pain, trauma, orchitis, hernia, torsion,

oligospermia, etc), I could not find a single Chinese site with the

characters (Yingao) in the title page that mentioned herbal Tx

within the page.

 

Does this mean that current Chinese Tx of cryptorchidism ignores

herbal treatment?

 

Could colleagues fluent in Chinese try a search of Chinese WWW to

confirm or refute this.

 

Please post your response to the List, with any Chinese URLs that

show benefit of herbal Tx in cryptorchidism.
