Guest guest
Hi Doug & All, > The spleen is zhiyin within yin and communicates with earth. > & #28382; & #28139; zhìyín v. remain at a standstill ... perhaps it is > & #28382; & #38452;... as in stagnant Yin... sorry the characters, hope > they are readable. Doug I could not read the characters (see a way around this in a separate mail). No, the term Zhi-yin here has the same characters as the term Zhi-yin in acupoint BL67. Wiseman translates that point name as " Reaching Yin " , where Zhi = to arrive at / to reach / extremely / most. It could mean the " most yin " . Indeed SP and LU belong to the Taiyin - Great Yin or Most Yin. As regards SP and Zhiyin , the correct Pinyin term is: Piwei Yinzhong Zhizhiyin (SP is Zhiyin within Yin) [see characters at http://tinyurl.com/yey7tvy ] or Yinzhong Zhizhiyin Weipi (Zhiyin within Yin is SP) [see characters at http://tinyurl.com/ybpekb2 ], For a (poor) Google translation on spleen + other organs, see http://tinyurl.com/ybwe2j5 [copy into Wenlin to refine it further] Related concepts are: HT is Yang within Yang (Xinwei Yangzhong Zhiyang ) or HT is Taiyang within Yang (Xinwei Yangzhong Zhitaiyang) http://tinyurl.com/y9vwged LU is Yin within Yang (Feiwei Yangzhong Zhiyin) or LU is Taiyin within Yang (Feiwei Yangzhong Zhitaiyin) KI is Yin within Yin (Shenwei Yinzhong Zhiyin) LV is Yang within Yin (Ganwei Yinzhong Zhiyang) Best regards,
