Guest guest
Hello All, The CM-DB is pleased to announce the completion of our most recent text, the Shen Ji Chu Yan -- Precautions in Illness: My Humble Thoughts by Xu Lingtai (aka Xu Dachun) translated by Herman Oving. This text is an interesting read due to Xu Lingtai's commentary on the medical practices of his day. Some of the things that he comments on are: tonification formulas, the use of medicinals, windstrike, cough, expectoration of blood, dysentery, y & #299;n patterns, old people, women, children, external medicine, methods of treatment, formulation of prescriptions, methods for the decoction and intake of medicinals, on sending for a doctor, secret formulae, tricks and absurdities, and lastly ancestral transmission. 100% of subscriptions to the Database are currently being used to generate more translation for our community to read. If you would like to read this text, and/ or support the translation of Classical texts, then come to cm-db.com. Lastly, this is the last week to to be eligible for our $1,000 debt repayment drawing which will be happening on August 15, 2010. On this day we will draw 1 r at random and pay off $1000 worth of debt on either their student loans or a credit card of their choice. Sincerely, L.Ac.
