Happy 2010... RE: essential oils anti-microbial?

May all of our relations have a healthy, happy and harmonious 2010 !

 

For those following our essential oil thread,

here's some informative info from David Crow, L.Ac, author of " In Search of

the Medicine Buddha " .

His website is filled with info pertaining to the medical uses of essential

oils.

In this note, he writes that diffusing them into the air has been proven by

research

to be more clinically effective to fight off germs than using the essential

oils through an oil carrier (contact application).

This is significant to our discussion of applying essential oils to

acupuncture points.

He goes into some of the historical/ cultural usages of air-diffused

essential oils and

reminds us that essential oils represent the plants' immunity bestowed onto

us.
