Guest guest
Hola herbalistas, I'm looking for " superficial visual obstruction " in Wiseman's dictionary of Chinese medicine. Does anybody know how he translates that action of herbs such as shi jue ming? Thanks. -- , DAOM Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional. http://twitter.com/algancao
Guest guest
Hi Al, Under " Eye diseases " , Wiseman lists several terms which refer to various types of visual obstruction. I hope this helps. Guest guest
Also consider looking in volume 2 of Sionneau and Gang's " The Treatment of Disease in TCM " . He lists many conditions along with patterns relating to visual disorders. Also, FYI, in the appendix to Wiseman's " Fundamentals " book, he says the following about Shi Jue Ming, " Balanced, salty nontoxic. Enters the liver and kidney channels. Calms the liver and subdues yang. eliminates heat. Brightens the eyes. Treats headache, dizziness, adn fright convulsions due to welling up of wind yang. Steaming bone tidal fever. Clear-eye blindness and internal eye obstructions (my italics!)....use calcined for clear-eye blindness, internal obstructions and night blindness....  All the best,   ________________________________ < Thu, January 14, 2010 4:40:50 PM Re: Superficial visual obstruction  Hi Al, Under " Eye diseases " , Wiseman lists several terms which refer to various types of visual obstruction. I hope this helps.
