Guest guest
-Patrick-- The idea of ‘mammal excrement’ is in the category of consuming reptiles, insects and animal parts. While in context of , vile may be too strong of a word, at least I would consider these articles as something arcane - more suitable for past era. --- I don't quite get the reasoning behind this, Patrick. Could you explain more? Premarin, which used to be a workhorse (snicker) drug for biomed, is, to put it plainly, horse p!ss. Leeches, that symbol of medieval medical majick, is the source for Heparin, the most potent blood anti-coagulant known (to biomedicine)...though further research may show greater promise in Mang Chong...an " herb " that you'd have to take an " herb " to really recognise as an " herb " . Hugo    Of course, Ayurvedic medicine also has a history of using urine therapy from humans and various animals.  I even saw the use of crocodile sperm in an Ayurvedic herbal manuel, but I would like to think we could forge into a higher medical practice, not following the lead of Western medicine and any other 'cultural idiosyncrasies' of various other medical systems from the past.     To me, this would involve the use of Herbs and Mineral substances and Energy Medicine - meaning looking at the body as an electro-magnetic field not just a hunk of flesh and bones.   Killing in general, and factory farming in particular has to be looked at and addressed, if we are to evolve into a higher culture.     First we have to consider the environmental impact of raising animals for slaughter.  Then there is disappearance of certain species often prompted by the search for 'herbal' medicinal products.     We also could consider the negative effect these substances might have on our clients.
