Guest guest
Jason, Herman, anybody.... For those that may be interested, here is a link to a free download of a simplified Chinese language version of the *Dongeui Bogam<http://ishare.iask.sina.com.cn/f/5340745.html> * (µ¿ÀǺ¸°¨) written by Heo Jun, the Korean doc that has come up in the discussions here. I am still looking for a traditional character version, but haven't found it yet. I read through the first couple pages and would be interested to hear if any other Chinese language readers can find what Lonny has been talking about. My Chinese is not that good and I only briefly looked at it, so I could easily be missing something. Guest guest
Hi Thomas The electronic file only contains the first nine chapters of the book about 364 pages out of 980 pages. I borrowed the book from the library last week, it is mostly a compilation of the context of dozens of Chinese medical books with his one commentary, Neijing, Bencao, shanghanlun, danxin, dongyuan. I would like to know what part is Lonny referring to?  Gabe Fuentes ________________________________ Sun, March 7, 2010 8:31:41 PM Heo Jun text  Jason, Herman, anybody.... Guest guest
Herman, >p.s. What exactly are you looking for regarding 'what Lonny has been >talking about'? I don't have the exact quote, but it was something along the lines of this guy talked about the medicine with the big " S " ....so here's the work...see if you can find it. Also, I think there is more to this text, but I am not sure. I think I read something, somewhere, that said the original was ~27 volumes. So I am not sure if this is the whole thing as this is 96 pages, maybe, maybe not. I am also very interested in this text because, apparently he integrated local plants into his practice, so I am hoping to find something about his process for this in this text. I am very busy with other work at the moment, but I look forward to looking over this. Thomas , " aowenherman " <aowenherman wrote: > > Wow, thank you Thomas! > > Herman > > p.s. Guest guest
Thomas, Well, there are a lot of shens in these 96 pages! (Gabe noticed too that this is only part of the book, it is mentioned on the site as well.) Lots of interesting quotes from philosophical and medical texts, it kept me awake too long last night... And yes, further on the herbs come up, I am interested too to explore what new things we can find in here. When I came across a longevity formula it was time to sleep... So much to do in a day! If you come across sections that you like to translate maybe we can work on it as a team. Best, Herman , " Thomas " wrote: > > Herman, > > >p.s. Guest guest
I just uploaded a traditional character version: http://www.sendspace.com/file/7jgd64 <http://www.sendspace.com/file/7jgd64> Ignore the pop-up windows and look for the orange download button. This is a large 277 MB file, inside are 26 separate pdf scans of the handwritten volumes. The pdfs are not searchable (no OCR).
