Guest guest
I think I mentioned going out to a Thai restaurant. Here's the report ;=) Started out (2 of us) with some fried tofu with garlic/peanut sauce - very nice but bland - and some spring rolls or whatever they call em (nice again but ho hum). For the 2 mains to share, we had a Tofu Green Curry and a stir-fried asparagus and mushroom dish. Both were very pleasant and even had a bit of a bite. I'm afraid, however, that Bangkok wouldn't recognize them. Next time, we shall take the waiter aside, ask for him to ask the chef to puh-leez up the chilli quotient. Nevertheless, it all goes to prove that Thai food, being aromatic with so many herbs, is not totally dependent on 'heat' for enjoyment ;=) And I'm going to look for a good asparagus recipe! gf
