My name is Michelle, I'm a 36yo woman from Australia. Originally from Melbourne, I've spent the last 6 years on and off traveling around this great country. I have explored vegetarianism on and off, even becoming vegan a few times. Right now I'm not vegie, but I plan to go back to being so around the end of this year. I'm looking for some good recipes here and there, and this time around want to take the time to learn some basics (such as adequate protein sources). I took a year off this year to persue other things, but will be going back to my travels mid year next year, I especially love the desert areas and being right in the heart of the bush. Apart from that I'm friendly, and (hopefully) easy to get along with. Guest guest
Warm welcome, Michelle. Great to have you with us. We have an awesome group of very intelligent vegetarians who are quick with help and advice when asked, so feel free to pick some brains. *lol* ~ PT ~ Revere the highest, have patience with the lowest.Ê Let this day's performance of the meanest duty be thy religion. Guest guest
Thanks for the invitation. Your introductory postings asked us to introduce ourselve. Some of my favorite cusines are Carrabean, Thai, Indian, and Middle Eastern (not too many hot dishes). Also, I hope you don't mind, but I am not vegetarian. I like all kinds of foods and love spicy dishes. I am always looking for new ideas. I have seen some interesting recipes so far and I look forward to those to come. Thanks Doug Smith (aka cyclist451)
Guest guest
Welcome, Doug. Thanks for saying Hi - maybe more members will feel able to do so too now! And no it doesn't matter a bit that you're not a vegetarian - I imagine quite a few members are not. Fortunately, you don't have to be veggie to enjoy good veggie food in addition to what you usually eat, and *spicy* vegetarian food makes life even more interesting! I hope you have some recipes for those favourite foods of yours to share with us - or at least the name of your favourite dishes. That'd be great. But if not, that's okay too because that means you should be able to pick up lots of tips as well as recipes when the list really gets going. I look forward to hearing from you again.
