Guest guest
I have been told by my ex that I " m strange...I like tofu plain and cold even....and I don't really care for the taste of meat. As far as tofu recepies...I put it in almost anything at the end of cooking. However; I really like the tofu to go packets I can get at Seasons and Natures now. They are really handy for lunch on the go. Pam Friends. Fun. Try the all-new Messenger
Guest guest
You don't sound strange to me, Pamela. Both my grand daughters love it plain and chilled, cut in cubes. Most of the time they dip it in soy sauce, though. They also love nori-maki. I think if kids are exposed to these things while young they will eat healthier all their lifes. Guest guest
I agree. People look at me like I have 3 heads when I tell them what my kids will eat. My 4y.o.'s current fave is blackened shrimp or coconut shrimp. I'm pretty tired of hearing, " Oh, my kids would never eat that! " Tell them they NEED to try it (repeatedly, lol) & they will learn to like it!! JMHO. Beth Jim <jdsears669 wrote: You don't sound strange to me, Pamela. Guest guest
I agree with Jim bigtime. Also, I like tofu plain or marinated, hot or cold. A quick lunch dish for me is cubed cold tofu - any texture - topped with chopped green onion, chopped cilantro or basil, chopped green or red chillies, tamari, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds - or any reasonable variation on that ;=) - served with, say, sliced tomato, cucumber and onion salad. gf --- Jim <jdsears669 wrote: > > > You don't sound strange to me, Pamela. However, I cannot eat silken todu unless it's blended into something. I think the texture is like that of cooked egg whites and that makes me gag. -- Alexandria M.C. " I'm not afraid to die. When you say " plain tofu - cold " do you mean removed from the package, drained, cut into cubes, and uncooked?
Guest guest
I'm just curious. When you say " plain tofu - cold " do you mean removed from the package, drained, cut into cubes, and uncooked? Yes, but I press it after draining
