Guest guest
Love your story! *lol* Reminds me of last summer when my son flew over from Europe (he lives in one of those cheese-and-fish-and-sausage-eating :=) northern countries) and since he hadn't had any in a while I had waiting for him a large pot of chilli - *non* carne of course - made with, I think, either tofu or tvp instead of the me*t. It was good, I remember that! Afterwards, he thanked me for the 'chilli con carne' which he declared 'perfect'. I corrected him on the contents of the dish, and I had to show him what the so-called me*t was (yes, it *was* tvp I remember now) before he'd believe me. He's either very tactful or it was very convincing Cheers! gf >Little funny story: My wedding reception had completely vegan food that i prepared. There were guests that actually thanked my husband and I for being *kind* enough to think of them and serve meat. I still laugh about it. Like it would pain them to eat vegetarian. I live in Wisconsin, USA -- beer, bratwurst, and cheese country. ===== greenfury2004 Friends. Fun. And he was completely bewildered when I produced a 'Kukul' Mas curry (made of course with tempeh instead of chicken). That's why I love spicy dishes - you can do *wonders* with them!!! gf
